Help us give back!

KCTP is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that relies entirely on donations and volunteer effort. Unlike other community theatres in the metroplex, KCTP does not sell tickets, instead providing our performances to the Kennedale community entirely free of charge! In order to continue providing high-quality productions freely to our community, we need supporters like you to help us out! If you or your business are interested in becoming a partner of KCTP, check out the link at the bottom of this page!

Where does your money go?

100% of KCTP donations go directly toward production costs. Many people outside of theatre circles don’t realize just how expensive it can be to produce a show! For a small non-musical production like our annual fall play, the cost of production may be $500-$1,000. For bigger shows like our spring musical, however, costs are significantly higher, often ranging from $3,000-$5,000 just for a single production! In addition to these standard operating costs, KCTP is always planning bigger and better things for the future! Here are a few of our current projects and goals you can help us out with:

Storage: Each production has unique needs for costumes, props, and set pieces. Over time, this means KCTP accumulates a lot of stuff! As KCTP continues to grow, we will eventually need a dedicated space to store these items for use in future productions!
Performance Space: We love Towncenter Park, but some productions simply cannot be adapted to an outdoor venue, and much of the year is too hot, too cold, or too rainy for our audience to comfortably sit through a show outdoors! Renting a theatre space for future productions (particularly our fall and winter productions) is quickly becoming a necessity, however, this represents a significant increase over our normal operating costs!
Giving Back: KCTP is committed to our community and is always looking for more ways to give back. We hope, with enough help from our supporters, to eventually offer a small scholarship for graduating KISD students that have been involved with KCTP!
More to Come: KCTP continues to grow every year, and as we grow our needs change. We will periodically update the list above to reflect our present goals and needs!

KCTP is still working on integrating software that will allow us to accept donations securely directly from our site! In the meantime, the link above will take you outside of our website to our secure payment portal hosted at Stripe.com.

Businesses

KCTP offers two different avenues for businesses to help support our mission:

Corporate Donor

Tax-Deductible Giving

Corporate Donors receive limited promotion of their company, subject to IRS restrictions, but in return can claim their donation as a deduction on their company’s tax return. All Corporate Donors will have the following information posted on the KCTP home page:

  • Donor’s company name & logo
  • Donor’s company contact info
  • Link to home page of Donor’s company website

Corporate Sponsor

Paid Promotion

Corporate Sponsors have access to numerous avenues for promotion of their business, both on KCTP’s website and in person at KCTP events, but cannot claim their payment as tax-deductible, since this goes against IRS regulations. Corporate Sponsors may receive many benefits, including:

  • Ad space in KCTP playbills & on KCTP website
  • Opportunities to become a vendor for select KCTP events
  • And MUCH much more!
